The Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL-S incorporates the underslung mode design of its predecessor, the WEEBILL LAB, and also has a more compact form as well as other new features. The sling mode design consists of a handle on the rear that allows for easy switching to underslung mode as well as better handling in all other modes. Other improvements include upgraded motors and stabilization algorithm. The WEEBILL-S features 300% more motor torque and 50% more responsiveness. This allows you to better balance camera/lens combos such as the Canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm zoom lens.

Being released along with the WEEBILL-S as an optional accessory is the TransMount Image Transmission Module, a compact device designed to neatly mount under the quick release plate of the WEEBILL-S and allow wireless streaming of up to 1080p30 resolution over distances up to 328′. Up to three devices, including phones, tablets, and select professional monitors, can be synced up using corresponding receiver modules.

The companion Zhiyun-Tech ZY Play app, compatible with iOS and Android, has been upgraded to work with the Image Transmission Module to allow more efficient control of the gimbal. A feature in the app called SmartFollow 2.0 works with the module to allow precision object tracking directly from the app. A tool called Sync Motion enables real-time monitoring and synchronous motion control. There are also upgrades to standard features, including ViaTouch 2.0, which allows you to control various functions and settings of your camera and gimbal directly from your smartphone screen. These include zoom and focus, where supported, as well as follow speed, ISO, aperture, and more. Other features you’ll find in the ZY Play app include creative capture tools such as Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse, among others.

The WEEBILL-S offers six modes of operation. These include Full-Range POV Mode, which allows 360° synchronous movement on all three axes, and Vortex Mode, which lets you achieve 360° barrel shots. Please see the Features section below for a description of all six modes. Other features of the gimbal include Intelligent Auto-Tune, which automatically recognizes the weight of your camera and adapts to the weight to provide the best power efficiency possible. The battery operating time of the WEEBILL-S has also been increased to up to 14 hours.

The WEEBILL-S allows electronic focus control with supporting cameras. This is done using the integrated handwheel. Please see the Zhiyun-Tech website for an up-to-date list of supported cameras. The gimbal also supports mechanical focus and zoom control using optional motors. The WEEBILL-S supports the TransMount motors as well as all the other TransMount accessories that the predecessor model was compatible with. Among these is the Quick Setup Adapter Set that has become very popular since its release.

The WEEBILL-S comes with multiple accessories, including an Arca Swiss/Manfrotto dual-layer quick release plate and a storage case. Also included is a mini tripod that can be used as a stand or an extension handle. The mini tripod is also what completes the gimbal for underslung, low-mode operation. It attaches to the rear handle to function as an overhead handle.

The WEEBILL-S doesn’t support many 3rd-party 18650 batteries because it requires the slightly shorter kind made by Zhiyun-Tech, so only Zhiyun-Tech 18650 batteries are recommended.

Getting verified is as simple as 1..2…3. Sign-up on the website first, you will see messages at different places of the website saying “Get verified to place orders”. Provided with a link to a form, fill out some basic questionnaire and submit proofs such as Adhaar Card or Driver’s license. Once the form is filled out, our team will check the details and will verify your account.

Please be informed, your account may not be verified if we do not find your details valid or for any reason. If your account is verified, you are now approved and allowed to place rental orders.

Allow us up to 8 hours to verify your details and update the status. 

When reserving an item for a hard deadline (wedding, vacation, large production shoot), we recommend you give yourself a buffer by requesting the gear to arrive 1-3 days before the day you actually need it. Some packages may get delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, and we don’t want you to be stuck without the gear you need.

If the item reaches after the rental start date. You will only be charged from the day the item is delivered to you. 90% of the time, our customers received the items on time or before time. If the item reaches you before time, we do not charge any extra. 

After placing your rental order. Make a note of few things for each other’s safety.

  • On the day of delivery, make yourself available to receive the item from our courier partner.
  • Check the contents and do not forget to save the serial number of the item you have received. Once the rental period ends, we verify the item serial number to avoid fake returns.
  • After the item is delivered, make sure to inspect the rental item, take as many pictures as you can for safety and do not forget to report us within 12 hours of delivery time if you notice any discrepancies within 12 Hours.
  • Make full use of the item – so plan it accordingly.

During the time of rentals, use the item fairly. Do not abuse the rental product and tamper the condition of it in any way. Help us in making this rental marketplace an essential source for everyone who cannot afford costly gear. We assume the item is treated as your own gear and protect it in all means. If for any reason, the item is damaged – be honest with us to avoid additional consequences. Please be aware, the renter takes responsibility of the item until it safely reaches back to us.

If you wish to extend your gear rental. You can do so by contact us and we’ll be glad to help. If there are no other customers waiting in line for your item, we will be happy to extend your rental.  Please note that in terms of billing, extensions are treated as if they were new orders- the rate will be less expensive for a 2 week rental than it would be for two 1-week rentals.

If your rental term is expiring, please make sure to clean the item and take pictures before sending the item back to us. Use the same package we shipped to you and attach the shipping label that was provided. Make sure the item is safely packed.

Our courier partner will call you during the returning day to pickup the item. Make sure the item is picked up.

We’re always happy to help narrow down your choices or point you in the right direction. Our staff is available for emails and calls from 10am to 6pm Monday-Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. Please keep in mind that we cannot anticipate every situation, preferred style, or equipment combination due to the limitless possibilities. It is best to do your own research so that you can ensure that you make the right decision for your event. If you order the wrong item or do not understand how to use the gear, we will try to help you find a solution but we cannot offer you a full refund. Best for someone who cannot buy it

My experience renting here has been wonderful - I cannot buy a gimbal at this time and I got an event to cover. Renting was the best possible option. I researched to find ima student renting service and I immediately stuck with this,
